One of the best things about hosting weddings at Boringdon Hall is having the chance to meet some amazing local suppliers. Devon and Cornwall are a honey-pot for creative types and many ply their trade neatly alongside the fact that this area is also a down-right gorgeous place to get married.
Here are just a few of the suppliers we love, for their creativity, their sense of individuality and their contribution to happily ever after.
Here at Boringdon Hall Hotel we specialise in hosting original weddings; here's some of the quality suppliers we work closely with. Having seen their work and tried-and-tested their products and services, we are proud to recommend the following local Devon wedding suppliers:
For beautiful wedding dresses..
For delicious and eye-catching cakes..
For flower arrangements to add colour and style..
To make the celebrations go with a bang..
..consider Celebration Pyrotechnics Fireworks, or bring a little fun to proceedings with magician David Andrews (Magic, Mindreading, Hypnosis).
Arrive in style..
Create lasting memories..
Accessorise your venue..
Plus, what a bit of luck, our very own Ali Selway does First Dance Choreography and Tuition firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ve also been having a root around picking up yet more inspiration. We haven’t worked with any of these creative gems just yet, but we’re head-over-heels in love with their unique ideas…
Get the word out - Charlie Scribble
Self-styled ‘designers of unusual stationery’, these artisan creators of personalised wedding stationery (with the support of Wowzer the Schnauzer) are on a quest to rebel against the same old style and to help tying-the-knot couples be a bit different. Hand drawn save the date cards, invitations, orders of service and bits and bobs are all designed and made locally. Plus, the paper used is 100% recycled Rustica, so you get eco-friendly points too – hurrah!
Feed and water your guests - The Creative Crockery Company
Whether you’re going in for a fully themed Victoriana wedding or just like the idea of vintage, you can choose from a range of gorgeous handpicked crockery sets, glassware and table linen. Didn’t know you needed candelabras and blue wine glasses? You will when you see them. Vintage hire is ideal for that English country garden feel and accessorising with pearl strands, country flowers and lanterns would be an appropriate indulgence.
Caffeine and smiles - Camper Coffee Co.
Serving coffee from a 1964 VW spilt-screen container van (or vintage camper to you and me) with the suitably summery English name of Rosie, the Camper Coffee Company troop around Devon, the South West and beyond brewing up for weddings, private events, fairs and festivals. With their matching waistcoats and cheeky grins, owners Paul and Gary along with their crew, put cool into coffee and make some seriously good concoctions.
Sing, sing, sing! - The Grace Notes
Is upbeat blues an oxymoron? Well whatever the genre, this is a band that specialise in big sound and big atmosphere - they combine soulful vocals, groovy piano and percussive beats to maximum effect. This music is bound to get even two left feet tapping. What talent tucked away in the West Country!
