Plymouth Olympic Flame

The Olympic Flame will be arriving into the UK on May 18 and will arrive in Plymouth on the following evening from Land’s End. Huge crowds are expected in Plymouth on Saturday 19 May 2012 for a night of entertainment and carnival style partying in the Olympic spirit. The festivities will culminate in a cauldron being lit from the flame.

"It will be a wonderful opportunity for people in Plymouth to be part of the Olympic experience," said Vivien Pengelly, leader of Plymouth City Council. "People will be able to line the route as the torch arrives in Plymouth and I know the city will give the Olympic Torch relay team a very warm welcome."
