Major plans announced for Boringdon Hall Hotel

12 December 2011: Hotel Director, James Nettleton is pleased to announce a multi-million pound investment to develop Boringdon Hall Hotel near Plymouth into one of the UK’s leading four-star hotels complete with a ground-breaking new development which includes a further 60 bedrooms and a luxury spa. 

Boringdon Hall announced the plans as part of a long-term strategy to secure the future of the historic listed building and create a new chapter in the hotel’s rich history. It is expected that up to 50 new jobs will be created.

The news follows the announcement earlier in the year that Boringdon Hall Hotel had been taken-over by the Nettleton Group, which also includes The Bay Hotel and The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay.

The hotel has appointed Ward Williams Associates as project managers for the new bedrooms and spa, with Plymouth based company ADG appointed as architects for the development.

The building has an amazing history and hopefully this new development will secure its future.  We’ve appointed a successful and enthusiastic team to oversee the project and are looking forward to getting the ball rolling.”
